Through our technology, we assist 20,000 families settle their new homes weekly, yet homelessness continues to be a prominent concern across the country, with 116,000 people sleeping homeless every night.
Homes for Homes is a simple promise, that when a home sells, 0.1% of the sale price will be donated, with funds going towards helping create social and affordable homes for those in need.
In partnership with Homes for Homes, PEXA has enabled this donation to be easily completed online during a property transaction.
Refuges and emergency foster care offer a safe space for tens of thousands of vulnerable children each year. The Alannah & Madeline Foundation provides thousands of ‘Buddy Bags’ – containing basic, essential items such as toothbrushes, pyjamas, underwear, socks and more – for children who often arrive at emergency accommodation with just the clothes they are wearing.
The PEXA team regularly volunteers to pack Buddy Bags, so that they are ready and waiting when a child needs it.
We also invest in fundraising for the Foundation, including donations from parents who bring their kids to PEXA’s complimentary school holiday programme, and sponsoring its yearly gala event, Starry Starry Night.
Our volunteer policy gives PEXA employees the opportunity to take one day per year to volunteer at a not-for-profit organisation of their choice – individually or with their colleagues.
We’ve partnered with GoodCompany to connect our employees with more than 1,500 volunteer opportunities on an easy to use Workplace Giving platform. Through the platform, the PEXA team can choose to donate to, fundraise for, or volunteer with, an organisation of their choice.
