Access to PEXA Exchange APIs

In line with the Model Operating Requirements which are set and governed by ARNECC, PEXA Exchange APIs are available to all third parties for integration on an equivalent basis to other parties of the same type, level or class in relation to:

  • technical availability of the APIs;
  • the permitted purpose for which the integrator wishes to integrate;
  • the use of the relevant APIs for the permitted purpose;
  • the fees associated with integration; and
  • processes and systems to provide use of and access to PEXA APIs.

PEXA Exchange APIs are documented in the PEXA Developer Portal. Access to the Developer Portal and credentials to test and productionise APIs is contingent upon having signed PEXA’s API Agreement.

PEXA Exchange API Agreements

PEXA Exchange API Agreements are based on the purpose of integration and the type of service offered by our customers. Agreements fall broadly into two types:

  1. Subscribers using PEXA Exchange APIs for their own conveyancing transactions, related information, reports and analytics (own use).
  2. Intermediary Service Providers (subscribers or software providers) providing a platform or service to other subscribers using PEXA Exchange APIs. To provide services to other subscribers, each subscriber will need to give consent to PEXA share their workspace data and information with the Intermediary Service Provider (3rd party use)

Within the two service categories, there can be multiple use cases/permitted purposes. For example (but not limited to):

  1. Subscribers using PEXA Exchange APIs for own use to:

    1. Process one’s own conveyancing transactions/workspaces on PEXA Exchange.
    2. Provide information and status updates about one’s own workspaces to a third party (e.g.: buyers/sellers, mortgage brokers, real estate agents etc).
    3. Generate reports and analytics from own workspaces for own consumption.
    4. Generate reports and analytics from own workspaces for third-party consumption.

  1. The subscriber is acting on one’s own workspaces or providing a platform or service for workspaces owned by other subscribers.

  2. The use of APIs is for own or third-party consumption.

  3. The permitted purpose or the use case.
