How to use

Data is displayed at a postcode level, with residential property data available for all postcodes in NSW, VIC & QLD2. Data shown for:

  • Settlement Volume:  the total number of properties settled during the period, arising from a sale. This tells you how many properties were sold in the postcode. 
  • Settlement Value:  the sum of the sale prices for all properties settled during the period, shown in $AUD. This tells you the total amount spent on property in the postcode. 
  • Property Turnover:  The number of sale settlements during the period, relative to the total number of properties in the postcode3 shown as a percentage. This tells you the proportion of total properties in the postcode that were sold. 

Notes on the dashboard

  1. Data is updated each quarter, displaying the prior five quarters.
  2. No data is displayed where a postcode has less than 5 transactions in a given quarter.

  2. Data available for NSW, VIC, QLD (currently excludes WA, SA, TAS, ACT and NT). Data provided includes residential property only (excludes commercial property). Data is not displayed where there are <5 residential property transactions recorded in the period.
  3. Total properties by postcode obtained from ABS using 2021 census statistics.
