The push to take property transactions online is gaining early traction in South Australia.
A groundswell of activity emerged on July 4 now that the State is officially open for business to exchange property online.
Many firms were quick to show their support for the new digital era by lodging caveats and opening workspaces ahead of transfers including: Julie Hammond Conveyancing, Chong and Co, Bertram and Co, Benchmark Property Services, Rusak Corporate Conveyances, Johnston Withers Lawyers, Eckermann Conveyancers and Summer Lawyers.
A key day one take-out was the ease and cost savings that come with lodging caveats on PEXA, removing the need to line up at the Land Titles Office. Many practitioners are keen to avoid the frustration of re-work that comes with manually lodging caveats. Stay tuned. We’re gearing up to report SA’s first round of property transfers.
