Progressing conveyancing ‘bytherules’

By PEXA • Jun 2018

Queensland firm bytherules is embracing electronic settlements, leading the way with training programs and adoption.

Leading property solicitors firm bytherules is committed to driving e-Conveyancing forward in Queensland, having run its first PEXA workshop in Noosa.

The afternoon featured training with live scenarios on PEXA and platform navigation to help educate staff utilising practical methods.

The session comes after bytherules completed PEXA’s “Train the Trainer” program in March, an initiative which provides businesses with an in-house expert to support staff on matters.

Electronic settlement functionality in the state continues to be enhanced, with trustee details able to be entered in a purchase as per PEXA’s latest release, 8.0.1.

bytherules IT Systems Manager, Amy Goodwin, said the day was important for team bonding and a highly productive exercise.

“It was so great to see so much enthusiasm from our Franchisees. Everyone walked away having learnt something.”

The property industry is undergoing widespread change and head of bytherules’ Caboolture branch, Amy Andrew, believes adopting new technology is key to ensuring conveyancers continue to offer the best service to customers.

“It’s extremely important to ensure we are doing the best in providing the most progressive solutions for clients in their property transactions.”

Amy notes the efficiencies from transacting electronically are benefitting both business and homebuyer alike.

“The whole process saves time and is more efficient in disbursing settlement funds to pay other parties including the agents, councils, and water authorities.”

“The stress of moving is made smoother, even with simultaneous settlements, because the parties are able to move in earlier in the day.”

“It’s a great option for our clients.”

Looking into the future, Amy has a simple vision for Queensland’s property landscape.

“We just want the industry to embrace e-Conveyancing together.”
