Spearheading the move to a digital future, lawyers and conveyancers in regional Australia are transitioning to e-Conveyancing with PEXA’s new Virtual Training Program.
More than 135 regional firms are getting ready to transact online with the PEXA Virtual Training Program – a four module, online program delivered by a personal PEXA Virtual Specialist.
Members of the e-Conveyancing network who are current or graduated PEXA Virtual Training Program users shared their experiences and why the program was the best solution for their business.
Relevance and retirement
“I hoped to be retired before it all went online!”
Despite expectations of retirement before e-Conveyancing took off, Ian Donald, a Solicitor in Wagga Wagga, was unwilling to be left behind and enrolled for the PEXA Virtual Training Program along with his assistant solicitor Karen. The program gave Ian and Karen the opportunity to learn the way they wanted, leaving them pleasantly surprised at the resources available.
After successfully completing the first two modules with his PEXA Virtual Specialist, Ian had this to say about his experience to date:
“The relevance of the Virtual Training Program and the understanding our Specialist has of what we do and need to know is terrific!”
In-house training
“The PEXA Virtual Training Program ticked all our training needs and now thanks to e-Conveyancing we spend less time in the settlement room and more time in the office getting work done”.
Duffy Elliott, Dubbo’s oldest firm was the second firm to graduate from the PEXA Virtual Training Program.
They required an easy training solution for their team that wouldn’t monopolise their entire working day; and ideally a solution the entire Duffy Elliott team could participate in together, making the PEXA Virtual Training Program the perfect in-house solution.
Christine Reardon, Licensed Conveyancer at Duffy Elliott, and five of her colleagues completed the Virtual Training Program with the support of their Specialist “practicing together in between appointments and asking questions on areas that we weren’t confident in”.
“Midway through the program we had the opportunity to complete our first online settlement together giving us the chance to give it a go in a safe environment and build our confidence for transacting outside the program”.
To date, Duffy Elliott have completed an impressive 20 online settlements, with many more in the pipeline.
